The hard way of life is the reality. Reality is like any other dream, but wat makes it real is that I remember it the most vividly, feel every emotion of it more closely than any other dream, I care about it the most, and many more reasons. The List is endless. So wats the hard way that I have been talking about?
Each time I see a statue of a person, or hear about people spending money on it, wat comes to my mind is - wats there in these stones? Each time a minister or anybody makes a statue of himself or others, why doesn't he think twice & spend the same money for the development of the poor & of the country?
Each time I see a minister, pundit, fortune teller or the like, I am reminded of thieves & beggars. Ministers beg & steal from the common man, pundits from God fearing people, fortune tellers from people who think they can change the destiny, etc. Why don’t these people come out from this world of lies & oppose these thugs, and not make a fool of themselves.
Each time I see people giving away their money to temples & other such religious organisations, it makes me think where all the money goes. Why don't these people consider the slums of the poor and helpless the temple of need? Why don't they donate their money to them and worship the cause of humanity?
Each time I see a cracker or a shop of crackers, what is it that I am reminded of - all the bomb blasts I have heard of, all the technological development that goes in making these weapons, of not just humans destroying life but also life destroying things made in the world. On a tinier scale, it reminds me of one of my relatives getting burnt with that same small cracker, her dreams getting shattered, her compromises….Why don’t people stop buying, using & promoting these destructive things and save lots of lives which can bring peace in this world.
Each time I see a Eunuch, begging on the street, cursing people who don’t give him money. I think the Indian society as a whole is at fault in leting these people spend a miserable life, even in mordern Indian society. Why doesn't the government, or whoever holds the power to change these people’s mind set & (life, educate them, employ them, respect them, and teach them?
It is my appeal to my readers - stop this exploitation of your money & of other people's money. Build a statue of goodness around you. Don’t support these social demons & stand for yourself. Select the minister of your choice but vote cautiously. Believe in yourself, make your destiny & be your own fortune teller. Visit the temple but donate to the needy. Light diyas, eat sweets, meet people and enjoy, instead of bursting noise-creating & polluting crackers this Diwali. Instead of just joining hands with NGOs, help poor people near you whom you know personally, see where your money is going, see their progress. If all of us do that, then our neighborhood will improve, develop and the human society as a whole will be a better place to live in.
